Combine 25 Bloodstone Dust, 5 Globs of Ectoplasm, 2 Slabs of Red Meat, and 1 Charged Quartz Crystal to make the Skyscale Food. You'll need 12 of these — you can buy from the TP or get the total 300 Bloodstone, 60 Ecto, 24 Red Meat, and 12 Charged Quartz. Take the food to Sun's Refuge to feed the hatchling.
Do both metas at least once during the day (if you have the time to do that of course), and always select either the first item ( sold for worth 250 map currency) or the last one (which is always 100 map currency, received immediately) Reach the daily cap on tokens gathered from flying orbs. Oooooooor just skyscale the whole way and beat the others. Don't get me wrong, it is somewhat slower, especially if you go directly straight up. But if you angle and climb at an angle, the speed picks up. And going down, so long as it isn't straight down, also nice. And the hovering. And map comp. And vista-getting.
Already could try a borrowed skyscale from the story step that unlocks the roosts in the map. (And it actually felt a bit boring for me - I have unlocked the previous mounts in release order and didn't push straight for skyscale. Will see if I get used to it later when using it more.) The first steps seem a ton of stuff to do.
I believe Salex is refering to the teleport/shadowstep that theif short bow skill 5 has which makes for very quick movement speed over distance, as it's almost instant from point A to point B. Ofcourse it still requires you to be quick to place and cast it, and to have no lag, but you may find it quicker than standard charcater run speed if you can get it done fast enough.The one I relied on
