You can find many add-ons on AliExperss. The 1290 platform now exists since 2013 and has most of its problems solved. I had over 10 000 km on my 1190S and it did not miss a beat. I am approacing 10000 km on my 1290 SAS and it has been flawless and I just love it. Have done several long distance trips of more than a 1000 km each and longest have been 4400km. The lights at the bottom (oil pressure, highbeam indicator, turn signals etc.) all work, just the TFT display doesn't come on. 1290 Adventure S 2019 Keyless issues. Hope everyone is keeping well. Last few days I've had issues with pressing the ignition button and nothing happening, all i've been getting is a flashing orange light on the left hand side bottom of the screen. I've had to keep pressing the switch and eventually the screen lights up, I did get a message If there's lots that may support low compression (but not due to valves). Hard starting is also a sign of tight valves. A recent dirt bike I worked on had that problem and a valve adjustment fixed it. Then there's a fuel filter, fuel pump or pinched or shut off fuel line to consider. I'd start there first. Super Adventure S. Ok genuine request for info, I currently have a 2014 Triumph Explorer XC with 39,250 miles on her but as much as I love the bike, I want a bit more power. I did want the KTM 1290 GT but it’s to small as I’m 6’4” with old bones that hurt after 100 miles on a small bike. So now I think I’m pretty much sold on the KTM It is a very common issue on the 1.0 and 2.0, stress fractures at the mounts cause leaks. Simple to change it but the part is ~$500 if out of warranty. Make sure you keep your battery terminals tight, they can work their way loose and give MTC failure and other odd-ball errors.
