If you don’t know when it was changed last time, consider replacing it with a filter. Recalls. Fiat has issued several transmission-related recalls over the years. Some common recalls include problems with the automatic transmission, transmission control module, and shifting mechanisms. The van in question is a 2017 registered Ducato, so earlier than yours, but the fault seems similar, and in view of the references to high oil levels causing problems, its cause possibly also similar. As you will see, our van had both dipstick and dashboard oil level indication. Explanation follows. 1. Fault history. Hello, last year I bought Fiat Ducato 2.5TD 1993 (8140.27) motorhome. In one year I did a lot with it. Changed all floor and so on My biggest problem was bad smelly exhaust fumes. When cold there was a smoke and when engine wormed up no much smoke but there was still a smell. So I refurbished all 4 diesel injectors changed diesel filter and In any case, the fuel filter of your Fiat Ducato must be present in the supply circuit. Therefore it will be located between the tank and the carburetor. You will be able to spot it because it has the shape of a cylinder with two rods and it is connected by two hoses. Finally, depending on the year, the fuel filter will sometimes be located Hymer Fiat Ducato 1994 Fuel Filter Sensor. I've started up my Hymer this morning only to find Diesel pouring out from underneath. After looking in the engine compartment I see fuel jetting out of the bottom of the fuel filter. It seems there is a sensor at the bottom of the filter (assuming its a water sensor) ad thats where the fuel is coming 1. Points. 1. Apr 3, 2012. #1. Hi I'm new to the forum so this is my first posting, my bro, who owns a 1985 2.4 Fiat Ducato Motorhome, is having problems with the fuel lift pump it appears to be sucking in air within the body of the pump and has failed to repair it after several attempts. We have tried to find a replacement to no avail Horley, Surrey. Oct 23, 2006. #6. Just done my 02 diesel filter suprisingly easy job. 1. remove the 2 electrical connectors at the top. 2. undo and remove the 3 pipe connections, watchout for the washers on the inside end of the bolts. 3. undo the 3 (I only had 2) 10mm nuts that hold the unit to the bulkhead. Sep 27, 2020. #1. Hi everyone, My family are presently stranded in rural France in our Fiat Ducato 2001 motorhome. The electrical connection from the fuel filter water sensor has come away entirely from the unit. Due to this, the van won't start. There are three wires that were connected to the unit and lead back into the vans internal electrics. However, I remain concerned there is a serious safety issue - what would have happened if I had been overtaking on a motorway and I had lost power? If the atomised diesel fuel have hit hot parts of the engine there would have been a fire. As with the recent problem with the Fiat 500, Fiat are being complacent about the UFI fuel filter problem. 5Rgs.
