The service schedule says this should be changed at 10yrs or 150k. Ford or adamant that it’s not a known fault but I’ve spoken to people in the trade who say that it is.
As the title suggests, my little 1.0L is nearing its 150K mile timing belt service. Because of this, I've been getting part prices and such. I usually go further than the factory recommendations.The factory 150K timing belt interval seemed way too long for me, I thought about planning to change it no later than 75K miles. Based on your post as a Ford insider, I will probably lean more towards 8 years, especially since I generally put low mileage on a car.

If you already have one then getting it fully serviced by a Ford main dealer at every service interval will help reduce such potential failures as: the wet timing belt snapping, the oil pump failing, head gasket failure, and over heating issues.
